CLAYTON STACEY has been a makeup and hair designer or assistant for many Candlelight shows including Into the Woods, The Sound of Music, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, I Love You…, Sister Act, White Christmas, Memphis, Sweet Charity, Mamma Mia!, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Beehive: The 60’s Musical, Curtains, Beauty and the Beast, Camelot, and Legally Blonde. He has designed for WDL’s Into the Woods, City Theater’s Xanadu and Gypsy, DAST’s Jekyll and Hyde, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Clayton was also the wig/makeup designer for Sanford School’s productions of Mamma Mia!, Legally Blonde, Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and Clue: On Stage. As a performer, he has been in Candlelight’s Grease (Doody), Fiddler on the Roof (2004 and 2014), Cabaret, Jesus, and the Barrymore Award-nominated Chicago, to name a few, and was one of the producers for Candlelight’s fundraiser series Just Drag. He also performed in Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party at WDL, and played the title role in Neil Bartlett’s play Stella for the New Jersey Fringe Festival and at Bootless Stageworks in Wilmington.
