Julia Kershetsky

Musical Director

JULIA KERSHETSKY (she/her) is counting her blessings, returning as music director for the third time, after previously working on Mamma Mia! and Big Fish earlier this season. She has previously been seen at the barn as Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Diana in Lend Me a Tenor, and in the ensemble of Best of Candlelight and Christmas by Candlelight. Julia has also served as a music director at Walnut Street Theatre. Julia has taught private voice lessons since 2011 through her own studio, Starling Voice Studio (where she occasionally has openings for new students). She has also taught vocal performance at the collegiate level since 2015 – for New York University, University of the Arts, and Molloy College’s CAP21 program. She has served as a judge for the Classical Singer Music Vocal Competition since 2020. Julia holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Voice from Penn State University, a Master of Musical Theatre Performance from New York University, and a post-graduate Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy (also from NYU). In addition, she has taken doctoral courses in Vocology with the NYU Voice Clinic. Many thanks to Rebecca, Max, & Bob. Love to Mom, Dad, & Greg. juliakershetsky.com
