MARGARET HILL

Vera

MARGARET HILL is happy to be making her first appearance at Candlelight. She has performed extensively in theater, opera, film, television, and choral groups, and in many theaters and concert halls, including West Point’s Eisenhower Hall, the Washington National Cathedral, and Lincoln Center. Margaret has appeared in over 36 leading roles including favorites Eva Peron (Evita), Pistache (Can Can), Julie (Carousel), Hope (Anything Goes), Grace Farrell (Annie), Josephine (H.M.S Pinafore), Elsa (The Sound of Music), Sarah (Guys and Dolls), Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro). The River Reporter said of her 2014 appearance in Forestburgh Playhouse’s My Fair Lady, “…Stanislavski could have been talking about character actor Margaret Hlll, who portrays Mrs. Higgins with great style, humor and pathos that a lesser performer might have thrown away, but Hill’s limited time on stage is solid gold.” Margaret sends her love and thanks to her beautiful daughter Amanda, who is a professional ballet dancer and dance teacher.
